As a Affirmation mission, Jurkowski, 14, will maintain a clothes drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren.
When deciding on a mission, she needed to do one thing to learn her group.
“I needed to do one thing that might assist folks,” Jurkowski, 14, stated. “I do know there are various locations that give away meals, however not many locations that give away garments.”
She created a flyer looking for donations of clothes and footwear.
The response was robust.
“Many individuals from the group and Grace Church donated the clothes,” Jurkowski stated. “Males’s, girls’s, child’s, teen and child garments are all obtainable, some even new with tags.”
As new and gently used objects got here in, she received them prepared to offer away – sorting, folding, and bagging.
